Elections: A Kairos Time
Thanks also to so many for your fiery intercession for Jolene and me, and for our nation at this historic hour. We returned home late yesterday afternoon. Our journey took us back to the “awakening well” in Lowville, NY, on to Gloversville and Albany, to Wall Street and the New York Federal Reserve, into the halls of the United Nations, to Salem MA and Gloucester on Oct. 31, and across the state of Vermont and New Hampshire. What a time!

For the second time in as many months, our journey home from New Hampshire was met with global-changing events. Both times we prayed at Jonathan Edwards’ historic church in Northampton MA. We first made this route on Rosh Hoshana, the day the stock market plunged 777.68 points. September 19 was the first day of our 21 day prayer focus.
The second time around, November 4, we came home to find that Barack Obama has overwhelmingly won the Presidential seat. Jolene and I extend our congratulations to President-elect Obama and his family in this history-making election.

We as a nation have been waging a war for freedom on many, many fronts. Historically and presently, one of the most causative and destructive fronts has been that of prejudice. Yesterday, babes of this war and veterans alike have wept together at the sight of this momentous leap forward in the journey of healing and reconciliation for our nation.

Our God-given honor as Christians is to pray for those in authority. We will remain vigilant to help pray in the fullness of God’s kingdom on behalf of President-elect Obama. Our relevance is not dictated by our ability to blend in with the crowd, but by our capacity to stand in the council of the Lord and faithfully release what He gives. In this regard we will ever continue to pray, and to declare with integrity what we feel the Lord is saying.

Many wonder what this new season will bring. Two things come immediately to mind. Jolene and I were standing in the great hall of the Immigration Building on Ellis Island when the Holy Spirit spoke the phrase, “the womb of new beginnings.” I personally believe the intercessory push this fall was to “buy time” so that we can fully bring forth the works God intended us to accomplish. Therefore, for many 2009 will be as “the womb of new beginnings.” The world has changed so dramatically in these last few months, and both danger and great opportunity await. Lets have an “immigrant attitude” as we finally land on the shores that once were only horizons!

Second, 2009 will be a year of mass migration. Not sure what this fully means, but I believe some of the shakings this year will literally mandate mass migration. This is what occurred in the days of Joseph. Therefore pray for houses of God to receive revelation so we can also become storehouses of provision during the months ahead. 

Third, the issue of LIFE is ever before the Court of the Lord, and in 2009 we must see His heart satisfied before the gavel of justice falls. I will tell you how I am praying. A friend called during our trip and shared a dream. In the dream she was taking down campaign posters when Barack Obama entered into the room and asked to speak with her. She nodded while continuing to tear down signs.

The President-elect then asked for her full attention.  Looking into her eyes, he said, “I have just been filled with the Holy Spirit. I am not the man I used to be. And I will not be making the same decisions I had once determined to make.”

We have been sharing about how we are in a “Gray Awakening,” where multitudes will encounter the fire of the Holy Spirit as a catalyst for true change. Lets legislate God’s kingdom by praying this for Obama!

Our only true hope is in the One whose hands hold the hearts of kings. We hope to share much more in the days ahead. For now, the Lord bless each of you and please continue to pray for this “GRAY AWAKENING” in our churches, region and nation. 

Lampstand Conferences
God wants to bring restoration of hearts and destinies to His people. Early in 2007 the Lord spoke to us, "I am resetting the lampstand and relighting the flame." We are planning conferences throughout the nation that will explore this more.
