Day 39: Witness of the Covenant

Today brings to a close our 40 day “Summer of Recovery Prayer Project.” Jolene and I are grateful to all who embraced the watchman’s call. It has truly been a kairos summer!

God called us to “prophesy recovery.” Two primary themes from scripture became bookends of the project and prayer targets for recovery. We began on July 11 with Genesis 7:11, asking God to “open the floodgates of heaven and break forth the fountains of the deep.”
Today’s date correlates with a promise given to the body of Christ against the backdrop of many economic challenges. “Do not forget that it is I, the Lord your God, who gives you power to obtain wealth, that I may establish the covenant He swore to your forefathers” (Deut. 8:18).

Together as Family
Throughout this time, we have embraced life together as family. We rejoiced with one voice at the miracles the Lord has brought. And our tears were mingled together before the Throne while facing the pain of unexpected loss. Our hearts and our prayers are with the Anderson family at the loss of their “Papa” Jesse, and with Peter’s family at his passing.

As great people of God have passed over into their ultimate reward, so God has in some measure brought us across the threshold into a new season of life with Him.

Babies, Champions and New Beginnings
The miracle at Lowville, where God uncapped an ancient well of Holy Spirit awakening, came on 08-08-08, the literal day of new beginnings. This birthing of God’s new move was accompanied by news reports of a newborn whose birthday will trumpet God’s provision of new beginnings all the days of his life. The child was born on 08-08-08. At 8:08 am. Weighing in at 8 pounds, 8 oz!

And America celebrated as swimmer Michael Phelps shattered all world records by winning 8 gold medals!

End Abortion, Send Revival
On 08-16, we gathered together in prayer for the Call DC with a primary focus of preserving babies by ending the stigma of abortion. Though only 30,000 were expected for this convergence on the National Mall, an estimated crowd of 70,000 showed up to repent, fast, pray, and contend for America’s destiny before the Lord.

Day 37: Can these Bones Live? Prophesy Recovery!

Beloved it is no coincidence that our 37th day of the Summer of Recovery Prayer Project is the day of the Call DC!

God is calling us to prophesy RECOVERY for our churches, our regions and our nation. In Ezekiel’s day, the Lord knew that the hope of His people had perished (Ezek. 37:11). His word to the prophet is His word to us. Prophesy, and say “Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain THAT THEY MAY LIVE!” (Ezek. 37:9).

Birthing the Baby
During the Call DC, Lou Engle is standing for victory over abortion. This stigma is actually a fruit of a covenant with death that empowers idolatry.

God has given us a clear sign that His move of awakening has been birthed and the baby is healthy. Remember that God gave us a remarkable sign on August 8 to confirm His intentions. On 08-08-08, a baby was born at 8:08 am. Weighing in at 8 pounds, 8 ounces. God has awakened the seed of destiny for our land, and has opened the womb for the birth to come to completion!

Resurrecting Hope
It’s important to see that God intends not just to resurrect our bodies, but our HOPE as well. Barack Obama termed this “the audacity of hope.” Though this book was a bestseller throughout the world, what the world may not understand is that resurrection-empowered hope is the only true hope.

Ask God to breathe His life back into the deposit of hope He has given you. Ask Him to awaken the seed of His word again, and bring the promises to birth in your life. ASK GOD TO AWAKEN THE SEED, AND OPEN THE WOMB!

Day 36: Eyes that See

News reports surrounding 08-08-08 were very interesting. Did you read, for instance, that a baby was born on that day at 8:08 am? And weighed 8lbs, 8oz precisely?

God is telling us something. New beginnings have been birthed. The Lord has broken through with His new move of societal awakening and harvest!

Witnesses to a Birth
What does this baby look like? Who really knows? Again and again in Lowville, the Holy Spirit emphasized that He gathered us together to witness a birth. It is the birth of a new move of God. As angels were dispatched to alert shepherds watching their flock at midnight, so the Lord dispatched angels in this hour to draw us to a tent in the middle of a cornfield in upstate New York.

Jesus was born in a manger; we bore witness to this move across the street from a manger. It’s actually a dairy barn, producing a continual swirl of scents not unlike the olafactory atmosphere in the makeshift birthing room where Christ was born. What an honor to join together for this!

The Miracle Passed Over
The thought crossed my mind again and again that the shepherds were drawn to God’s greatest miracles by an unusual, supernatural display of God’s glory. But the miracle itself—a newborn child being nursed by his exhausted mother, yet unwed, as dad kept silent vigil—was so unremarkable that it could easily have been passed over.

What miracle have you been drawn to lately? Did it look the way you expected? The only way the shepherds really knew the miracle was real was by God’s supernatural revelation. Then these shepherds had to wait another 30 years to see even the beginning of Christ’s miracle ministry in the land.

Eyes that See
Why was God’s greatest gift so veiled amidst the main and plain? The first explanation is to protect this Child from the enemy seeking His life.
But a more profound reason, often missed, is the identification of God’s heart with the least of the least. The miracle of Christ’s birth bears witness to the unimaginable worth of each human being born into this world, and His great power to recover every aspect of each of our lives. Day 35: The Resurrection Side of the Jordan

Many wonder where we are prophetically as a nation. I can say with assurance where we are as the body of Christ. God is recovering our lives. BY HIS HAND, WE ARE ON THE RESURRECTION SIDE OF THE JORDAN.

Crossing Over
We as the body of Christ began this journey out of the wilderness on 06-06-07. Time to cross over! Bob Jones prophesied that on this date, the body of Christ would begin moving from the wilderness to cross over into the Spirit. This gift was given on 06-06-07 to celebrate and demarcate the 40th anniversary of Jerusalem’s reunification under the authority of Israel.

What began on 06-06 was greatly accelerated on 07-07-07. As we gathered together for the Call Nashville, the Lord brought the body of Christ in this nation into the river of cleansing so that we could be released on the other side of the Jordan to experience much greater union with our Bridegroom.

Divorcing Ba’al, Marrying Jesus
For this to occur, we had to divorce ba’al so as to marry Jesus together in true purity. From 07-07-07 until now we as a nation have gone into the depths of this cleansing. God has begun to shake everything that could be shaken so that we could emerge free. At the same time, the grace of God for healing and deliverance from generational bondage has come to a much greater expression.

Our new beginnings commenced on 08-08-08. God’s river of awakening is now flowing again. And from this date forward, God’s forerunners are re-emerging from the depths to the resurrection side of the Jordan. This is what the Summer of Recovery is really all about!

Again, this will come to a whole new acceleration at the Call DC as of 08-16-08. Note that 16 is eight expressed as a DOUBLE PORTION. As the forerunners forge this pathway, the rest of the body will follow. Expect this process to take 4 years, so that by 2012 THIS APOSTOLIC AWAKENING will find great and powerful expression in our land, for the glory of Jesus Christ. [more]

Day 34: Prayer for IAM Teams

First, please excuse Jolene and me for not sending out alerts the past few days. We took a break. The Nash Convening was spectacular, beyond expectation. God did so much. So grateful for the intercessory firepower of MIHOP and the IAM family. Will share details soon.

As of today, Wayne C. Anderson and Rick Wilson are on their way to Norway and Finland to host an IAM convocation in these great nations. Traveling with them are Pastor Steve McMullen of Issaquah, WA and intercessory armorbearer Michelle French. Please keep them in prayer during this historic time!

Day 30: Recovering the Axe-head of Holy Conviction

CHANCES ARE, YOU DON’T WANT TO READ WHAT FOLLOWS. Two reasons immediately come to mind. First, combating society’s embrace of the ever-changing grayscale of morality is not politically correct. Secondly, if the fire of God’s Spirit is confirming, we must become responsible for what we read.

Song and a Book
God has given us a new song, and revelation from His word. The enemy has been working overtime to counterfeit in song and word. Today’s hits are a great example.

The number one song of the summer for teens: I Kissed a Girl (and I liked it). Not a big deal, except it was written about a girl experimenting with another girl. In malls, restaurants and bars, it has become somewhat of a craze among teen women.

The number one book release of the summer for teens: Breaking Dawn, a love story evolving as the key players are transformed into vampires. Jolene and I inadvertently stumbled on this craze while shopping at Barnes and Noble last Friday evening. Hundreds of girls adorned in prom dresses were playing games, getting pictures, and painting vampire wounds on their necks at the bookstore. All while waiting for midnight to arrive so they could purchase their books.

These parties were held in bookstores across the country. The midnight release smashed all previous records for the publisher, with 1.3 million books sold the day of release.

And to be honest, that’s not what I’m primarily concerned about. We all know the world is growing darker. My passionate concern is the relative apathy of so many of us who name the Name of Jesus, as we watch the fog invade our lives.

Forerunners of Awakening
Charles Finney and Daniel Nash blazed a trail of fire that changed the course of this nation. Historians dubbed it the “Second Great Awakening.” Their message was raw and untamed by the politics of the day. It was marked first and foremost by the convicting power of the Holy Spirit. [more]

Day 29: 08-08-8 Releasing Awakening

This day, 08-08-08, God is setting a memorial stone in history to demarcate the re-emergence of heaven’s river of Awakening in this nation. The knowledge of the glory of God will cover the earth, as the waters cover the sea. For this to occur, God is opening up the floodgates of heaven, and uncapping the fountains of the deep (Genesis 7:11).

We are gathered here at one of these sacred wells today, where apostolic father Daniel Nash had his church and is buried, to stand with the Lord for His ancient well to become uncapped. Father Nash and Charles Finney were an inseparable team, laboring together as catalysts of the Second Great Awakening. Words have been coming in from throughout the land about the significance of 08-08-08—that God is releasing again the anointing of the Second Great Awakening on this very day to bring forth a new move in our time.

Awakening and Union
Standing upon this sacred ground, I am reminded of the words of Abraham Lincoln in his Gettysburg Address. As with Lincoln, we stand now on a field where the battle for true freedom has been fought.

Lincoln fought for the union of the nation; and in this move, we must dedicate ourselves not just as catalysts of awakening, but union. The reproach that sets brother against brother robs the body of Christ of the blessing God intended to provide through each member, and the commanded blessing granted to those who dwell together in unity.[more]

Day 28: Angelic Re-emergence

BREAKING NEWS: Let it be known that, as of August 7, 2008, the day the Nash Convening begins, THE TITLE DEED FOR THE NASH PROPERTY HAS BEEN REGISTERED BY THE TOWN OF LOWVILLE.

Not sure why God likes these last-minute interventions so much, but PRAISE THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY! The nail-biting conclusion to this real estate endeavor was pushed back to Wednesday, after the Gamelas faced down last-minute challenges involving religious jurisdictions, subdivision laws, water rights, surveying, highway frontage, and a host of other encumbrances. All to fulfill their role in receiving the title to the land, so that the heavens could shift and a re-emergence of this well of awakening could freely flow.

Bill and Rita and church friends and IAM friends who have labored so hard—the body of Christ owes you a huge debt of gratitude. Thank you for your perseverance!

Can Lightning Strike Twice?
Some have questioned the scriptural validity of uncapping a well of awakening and revival. Many believe—and rightly so—that a move of God cannot be duplicated. Lightning, many say, rarely strikes twice in the same place—and neither does revival.

Actually, the pattern of scripture flies in the face of this logic. Again and again throughout the pages of the word—from generation to generation—the lightning of God’s presence strikes again and again in the same sacred place. [more]

Day 27: The Welsh Connection

On 08-06, my heart can only move towards Song of Songs 8:6: “Set me as a seal upon your arm, and a seal upon your heart; for love is strong as death, its jealousy as ardent as the grave. Its flashes are FLASHES OF FIRE, THE VERY FLAME OF THE LORD.”

And on 08-06, it is a pleasure to introduce many of you to Bill and Rita Gamela, Lowville pastors whose lives embody this seal of affection for God and for each other.

Inheritors of the Well
Effervescent and generous in spirit, Bill and Rita Gamela describe themselves simply as “inheritors of the well.” Pastors of a church in Lowville, they have been laboring to release this well of salvation to the region and nation for seven years now. To a great extent, the uncapping of this dynamic spiritual legacy has been entrusted into their hands.

God commissioned them to take the “promised land”—sworn to their forefathers as a covenantal inheritance by the Lord—in a dream. As they came to appreciate the intercessory legacy of Daniel Nash, God gave Bill a vision. He saw the title deed to the property where Nash had his church, adjacent to the graveyard where he is buried. The Lord spoke to him that to fully unlock this “well of salvation” forged by Nash, the land must be purchased, and the title deed secured.

Over the past few days we shared the story of how, on Passover Friday, the land was secured. This was quite an undertaking for the Gamelas and their church, still relatively small in numbers but, like their pastors, hearty in spirit. [more]

Day 26: Honoring the Anonymous Heroes

Revelation 8:5 portrays a Throne Room scene in which the substance of heaven is released in answer to your prayers. On 8-5-08, Jolene and I want to honor those whose labor before the Throne has secured the blessing of heaven on our behalf and on behalf of our friends and our nation. YOU BEAR THE HONOR OF BEING CALLED FIRST AN INTERCESSOR OF GOD MOST HIGH. And our prayer is to walk out the legacy that your investment has forged.

George Otis Jr closes perhaps his greatest treatise on societal transformation with the following words. The following, including quotes from Revelation 5:8 and Revelation 8:5, is taken directly from the closing passage of the Twilight Labyrinth. The apostolic legacy of Daniel Nash is embodied within these remarkable words. And it is the legacy articulated in these words we are all being invited into at this time.

To the Anonymous Heroes

Day 25: Recovering Honor

Welcome to the ‘home stretch’ of our 40 Day Prayer Focus!  You may recall that the Lord called us to this focus from 7-11 through 8-18, with a significant focus on releasing breakthrough revival in the northeast. This is where so many of the covenantal roots of our nation have been forged.

We are in a season of new beginnings. God’s timing provokes us to awe. Interesting to note that the centerpiece of the Nash Convening is 08-08-08. And 8 days later is the Call DC.

I believe that 08-08-08 begins the march to the Call DC. Keep watching in prayer over these events, and over the nation as this week unfolds. Prophesy recovery!

Confirming Word
My friend Bill Yount recently released a word that confirms and expands on insight shared over the past few weeks. He begins by writing, “I Saw the Jordan River Overflowing its Banks in Washington D.C!”

The Summer of Recovery Prayer Project is based on a word God gave me in Washington DC about recovering the axe-head from the Jordan River. The Lord spoke for our team to throw a stick in the Reflecting Pool to release a move of the Holy Spirit for recovery in the body of Christ.

Bill’s word parallels this. It also confirms and a key emphasis of HONOR in Hope’s “Eagle-Dove” word.  Bill points out that, “When we begin to honor and pray for our spiritual authority, then power is released in our prayers to change us, giving us God's heart for those in authority, which then releases prayer-power that can even change the governmental authority in our nation!” [more]

Day 24: Recovering the "Certain Place"

We live in exciting times. As Psalm 24 notes, as we invite Him, God is coming in through the gates of the land. He is shaking all that can be shaken as a breakthrough of the Holy Spirit is being released! And as you will read, He is also recovering access for us to go through the gates to “a certain place.”

The Windows Above are Opened…
During the past three weeks we have shared many prophetic insights related to opening the gates of heaven. Isaiah tells us that “the windows above are opened, and the foundations of the earth shake” (Isaiah 24:18).

On July 15, Jolene recounted a dream about skyscrapers shaking, where even restaurants were affected. On Tuesday, July 28, Los Angeles suffered an earthquake, and the restaurant chain Bennigans closed their stores nationwide.

Jolene’s dream was shared in conjunction with that inspired this “Summer of Recovery Prayer Project.” This Thursday, Reuters reported that “An emergency dose of government stimulus helped the economy grow at a 1.9 percent annual rate in the second quarter, a soft pace but enough to take it off a path perilously close to recession.”

Recovering Apostolic Legacy
Recently we heard from our friend Jason Hubbard, a pastor at Christ the King Church in Bellingham WA and a founder of the Light of the World House of Prayer. Jason shared with us that a prophetic brother told him he felt that on 08-08-08 GOD WAS GOING TO RECOVER AND RELEASE AGAIN THE ANOINTING OF THE SECOND GREAT AWAKENING. The brother even visited the local library to find everything he could on Charles Finney! Jason assured me that he knew nothing of the Nash Convening at the time. [more]

Day 23: Eagle Dove over East Coast

God has long spoken through His prophets about a unique desire to release revival and awakening across the East Coast of America. Prophetically, Jolene and I see the east coast as the geographic “east gate” of our nation. It is here that the covenantal roots of our nation were first planted. We believe this move will immerse the nation from this region.

Here’s some more oil for your lamps. Hope and Roger will also be ministering at the Nash Convening. Hope writes, “One year ago the Lord took me up in an open vision about the United States and a great revival that was coming in. It was about the EAGLE-DOVE hovering over the EAST COAST of AMERICA... please note the Nash property location... and that this great revival would usher in the greatest move of apostolic decree and of holiness we have not yet seen. It will start on the East coast and move westerly. Actually I saw it starting in the north east and moving toward Florida and then westward covering the whole USA...” Below is Hope’s word.

An Open Vision of the East Coast
This past month of March, the Lord came to me in an open vision. I heard a sound of what I understood as Native American drums and music, and I saw a white Eagle-Dove soaring over the East Coastline of the United States of America. The airborne Eagle-Dove was hovering on the Mid-East Coastline, just over the waters. His white wings were huge and extended in soaring position. As he gently moved, he flapped his wings with an authoritative movement fashioning the winds to shift. The winds were strong and stirred up the waters, creating white waves to go beyond their normal limits, and together (the winds and waves), they made a sound that I had not heard before.

Day 22: Witness at the Well

Welcome to the first day of your month of new beginnings!

Eight is the number for new beginnings. No mistake that the centerpiece of the Nash Convening occurs on 08-08-08. The “new beginnings” I believe God is releasing His body into is a much fuller expression of this Third Great Awakening.

In a recent Elijah List word, Pastor Larry Jackson wrote about the prophetic significance of 8-8-8. He noted that “in the Greek language, the numerical value for the name Jesus is 888, and most of the names or titles of our Lord are also multiples of 8. The Lord was instructing us to celebrate "the number of His name."

Jackson continues, “August 8, 2008 represents more than just new beginnings; this number, which will not appear on our calendar again for one thousand years, identifies Him.”

Buy the Field, Uncap the Well
As we shared yesterday, God has decreed 2008 as a year for His river of awakening to be released. You might remember that the Lord told Bill and Rita Gamela that the title deed needed to be in their hands for the well of awakening could be released. Day 21: The Forerunner Spirit

WE ARE A WEEK AWAY FROM THE NASH CONVENING. Throughout this next week the intercessory focus is expanding to include a concentrated push for this time. Please keep vigilance in prayer for Wayne Anderson, Paul and Cheryl Black, and Asher intrater—we are asking you to continue 15 minutes of prayer in the Spirit every day on their behalf.

These past few months we have seen such amazing breakthroughs related to uncapping the historic well of awakening prayer that Daniel Nash forged. Wayne, the IAM team and MIHOP team have all been fully engaged and invested in this quest. Now we have come to the point of labor and it is time for all of us to work together for a final PUSH! Repentance, Revival and Harvest
Prominent columnist Lee Grady recently wrote, “How we need to return to the simplicity of evangelism that cuts to the heart, produces repentance, and reveals the Son of God” (fireinmybones.com). Nothing better describes the Holy Spirit’s prevailing influence in awakening. How we need again the voice of the Lord to pierce through our numbed spirits so that the cry of repentance is met with heartfelt response!

And this was the great quest of intercessory forerunner Daniel Nash. Working with Charles Finney, Nash’s literal labor was to bring breakthrough in the spirit so that multitudes could be birthed into the Kingdom. THIS IS THE WELL GOD IS UNCAPPING DURING THE CONVENING!!!

2008: Uncap this Well!
During the next few days we are putting to remembrance the miracles God has given to bring us to this point. We begin today with a word Jolene and I shared this January which prophesied that God was uncapping this well in 2008, and releasing His river to the nations.

At the time we had not met the Bill and Rita Gamela, nor did we know of their vision to uncap this historic well.  God had told the Gamelas that, to fully uncap this well of prayer and release God’s river of awakening to the body of Christ, THEY HAD TO FIRST PURCHASE THE LAND. The title deed had to be in hand. Tomorrow we will share the astounding events surrounding this purchase, in which much of the word below was DRAMATICALLY FULFILLED BEFORE OUR EYES!

Day 20: Apostolic Breakthrough

“Upon this rock, Peter, I will build my church. And the gates of hell shall not prevail against you.”

Peter’s promise from Jesus seemed far from true as he tested the prison doors. Outside, four squads of soldiers were on alert against any suspicious activity. It was the impenetrable fortress.

“And I give to you the keys to the kingdom…” Sorrow over these memories soon weighed down his eyelids, and the apostle faded to sleep.

Lightning flashed within the inner chambers of the prison. Suddenly a figure appeared from another dimension. “Peter, awake. Your time is short.”

Almost naturally, his chains fell to the ground, and the prison door opened. Peter was free. The angel walked him to the gates of the city—which again opened of their own accord. The angel vanished.

Confinement, Re-emergence and Breakthrough
Two days ago we began our exploration of Acts 12 by talking about “Apostolic confinement.” How Herod stretched forth his hand to vex “certain of the church” and Peter was imprisoned as a result. We know that Peter’s oppressor was also the primary opponent of the church in the region. Peter’s intercessors prayed until God brought breakthrough.

Yesterday we talked about Peter’s “re-emergence.” Re-emergence, or breaking free from confinement, is the beginning of breakthrough. And it is often followed by a dramatic expansion of authority, anointing, influence and effectiveness, with the opponents of the gospel brought to justice. This, my friends, is breakthrough!

You can see this in the progressive stages of Peter’s deliverance. First the prison doors open for his freedom. Then the city gate opens—a vast demonstration of authority to the one given “the keys of the kingdom.” Finally, God judges Peter’s opponent—and both he and the entire church of the region are brought into new freedom from oppression. Best of all, the gospel of Jesus Christ has free course!

Apostolic Breakthrough
Peter’s breakthrough depended upon two things: sustained prayer and angelic intervention.  As Asher Intrater pointed out Sunday evening, Peter’s intercessors prayed through until the heavens were opened and an angel was released. Therefore Peter’s deliverance did not begin with an open prison door, but an open heaven!

And intercession to God on Peter’s behalf forged this breakthrough in the spirit realm. This is where all true apostolic breakthrough begins—and where it is sustained.

Remember Daniel, who struggled in prayer for 21 days until the demonic resistance was defeated and the angel of the Lord broke through. There was a similar battle going on in the heavenlies over Peter.  Similar to the squads of soldiers guarding the apostle in the natural, there were sentinels of the enemy enforcing his confinement in the spirit. Intercession forged the breakthrough then, and it is forging the breakthrough now. [more]

Call to the Gates
OK so lets re-adjust our progression here. First, a gate of heaven is opened over Peter as his intercessors are praying. An “angel of breakthrough” appears, and breaks Peter free. The prison doors open supernaturally. Then the gate of the city is opened. Finally, the primary opposition at each of these gates is judged and removed.

Day 18: Apostolic Re-emergence

So James has been killed with the sword, Peter is in prison awaiting his execution, and the religious crowd of the day is applauding Herod’s efforts.

The situation in Acts 12 looked irreversible. Seemed that Herod’s vexations had won. Except that the church was praying night and day!
Targeted intercession, intercession “until,” ultimately releases God’s justice in the earth (see Luke 18). As we shared yesterday, it is time for God to break us into new realms of blessing, influence and effectiveness. We are asking that you target your intercession for Wayne C. Anderson, the apostolic leader of IAM, for Paul and Cheryl Black, pastors of Cornerstone Fellowship, and our friend Asher Intrater, a Messianic leader based in Israel, in this time.

Apostolic Confinement
We talked yesterday about “apostolic confinement.” This was Peter’s situation in Acts 12. The enemy had sought to confine him, just as the enemy is now seeking to confine many of today’s apostolic leaders.
Two things happened to change the course of this vexation. First, the church prayed passionately, without ceasing, until God broke through.  Secondly, God broke through.  He sent an angel to break Peter out of prison.

Note that the angel had to awaken Peter to get him out of there. My conversation with Pastor Mario yesterday stopped me in my tracks. He explained to me that the enemy didn’t just want to confine Peter—representing the apostolic—he wanted to put Peter to sleep.  Mario shared that in Peru, they have had to resist specific assignments from witch doctors to overwhelm and exhaust them through circumstances and through supernatural draining of life. Day 18: Apostolic Confinement

It is time for God to break us into new realms of blessing, influence and effectiveness. Therefore Jolene and I are asking that you dedicate yourselves to at least three days of focused intercession for Wayne C. Anderson, the apostolic leader of IAM, and for Paul and Cheryl Black, pastors of Cornerstone Fellowship in Frederick, MD. I also want you to add our friend Asher Intrater, a Messianic leader based in Israel, to this ‘short list.’

The Acts 12 Mandate
For the past month, God has been honing me in on Acts 12. We shared on this theme recently in New England. LAST NIGHT I had the privilege of being in a service with Messianic Jewish leader Asher Intrater. Most of Asher’s message last night was on Acts 12!

And then I got a call this morning from our friend Mario, an apostolic leader in Peru. First time he has ever called me directly, so I was all ears while listening for the ‘Voice within the voice.’  I shared what God had been speaking to us about with the “Summer of Recovery.” He then began to share with me what God had been speaking to him about on… you don’t have to be an intelligence analyst to guess… ACTS 12.

So I am passing on a bit of intercessory gossip to you right from the Source. God is MANDATING that we increase our prayer coverage for our apostolic leaders at this time—and as you will see, that’s what Acts 12 is all about.

Hopefully our messages have been fuel for the fire of your intercession. Over the next few days your fuel from us is coming from Acts 12. A week ago we asked each of you to pray 15 minutes in the Spirit over Wayne, Paul and Cheryl, and other prayer targets. Not asking you to do any more than this—just asking you to make it a reality. Day 16: Storms of the Lord!

Two days after leaving Maine, Jolene and I received the following email from Pastor Ralph Ackley. A massive thunderstorm had blazed through his town.

“As if to underscore your being here (still!) and what God is about to do in Maine and beyond, Washington County got the biggest thunder/ lightning storm it had in years last night.  Flashes all over the place, and huge booms!  There were three house hit with accompanying fires, a gas station in Machias had its oil tanks busted, power outages…etc.”

The good news is that the storm broke a long summer drought that had endangered much of the state’s blueberry crop. We were excited to hear from Ralph today that the harvest of a church member has sprung back to life! THANK YOU FOR YOUR DILLIGENT INTERCESSION FOR MAINE—THIS HARVEST IS LITERAL ‘FRUIT’ OF YOUR EFFORTS!

Day 14: Keep the Serpent Out!

MOST CHRISTIANS TEND to think of watchmen as an elite group. Glad they’re there—out there—somewhere. With our nine to five lives and busy schedules on the home front, we don’t believe we have the time or energy or gifting it takes to become a competent watchmen. And most are pretty glad that they aren’t called to such a duty.


Adam: the First Watchman
But the fact is that every human being is called to be a watchman—and every human being already functions to an extent in this calling. To understand this, lets go back to the place of beginnings. The Book of Genesis describes how God set Adam in a garden and commissioned him to tend it and to keep it.  

Lets look at Adam’s responsibilities here. Tending the garden means to sow seeds and reap a harvest.  No matter what your garden is—whatever your field—your essential duty is to tend your garden. To live off of your field by successfully sowing and reaping.

Day 13: Exposing the Cobra

In our season of intensified prayer, Jon and I want to share with you some ‘real-time prophetic insight’ to help you gain victory against the enemy. We have never seen this until now, so it’s kind of like receiving raw data that needs both interpretation and application immediately. It seems that a key strategy of the enemy against the body of Christ right now is coming with the form and characteristics of a cobra. Below you will find both characteristics of this warfare and Biblical keys to victory.


Vision of the Cobra
While away in Maine this past trip, Jon and I were continually running into some heavy warfare and on the way to the airport I began to feel very ill.  Jon had been up several nights with severe tooth pain and I was not feeling well either.  Pastor Ralph Ackley, Jon and myself began to pray fervently in tongues when I began to have a vision.  It was of a huge cobra snake coiled on the ground and standing up in a defensive position with his fangs extended. Day 12: Apostolic Intercession

ON this 22nd day of July, we somehow stumbled into our 12th day of the “Summer of Recovery Prayer Project."  As 12 often symbolizes apostolic ministry, and 22 symbolizes governmental authority (see Isaiah 22:22), lets take a brief look at apostolic— or governmental— intercession.


Until God breaks through
Most of what we call intercessory prayer is actually termed as “petitions” in the Bible. We petition the Lord for the salvation of a family member, or a colleague’s healing. Generally this type of intercession begins with us, as compassion over a felt need provokes our hearts to seek the Lord on their behalf.

Day 11: Watchman's Call

Folks it’s time to pray—especially for our leaders, and for the northeast. The next few days and weeks are among the most crucial of this prayer focus.  And I cannot emphasize enough—they are among the most important times for your intercession to arise from the secret place of the Lord Jesus Christ!


Our Most Strategic Hour
Let me introduce this time by sharing with you what the Lord showed me when He first  spoke about these 40 days. I knew that they would be crucial for our ministry leaders, both in the IAM sphere and locally. I knew these days would be crucial for the nation, and that He was calling us to prophesy “recovery” in the face of significant economic turmoil. And I knew our time period—from July 11 through August 18—would encompass very key gatherings for the body of Christ, including the Nash Convening on 08-08-08 and the Call DC on 08-16-08.

I also felt from the Lord that this season—from July 20 through August 11—would be the most important of the prayer project. Our assignment corporately is shifting a bit. WE HAVE NOW ENTERED INTO A KAIROS TIME TO GUARD OUR FIELD—the leaders, the churches, the movements and nations He has called us to stand for in prayer.

Day 8: The Dance of Timing

Jolene here—again! As I was pondering the message sent out yesterday, the Lord began to speak to me another perspective on the primary question posed in the article--what if we are out of time?   This began to resonate in my spirit in another way.  What if we are out of time, or better said, out of sync with what the Lord is doing in this hour?  I had been praying through one of Chuck Pierce’s 40 day prayer focuses just recently and I remember one day where he asked us to inquire of the Lord specifically where we might be out of sync with him. 


Getting in Synch
I prayed earnestly and asked the Holy Spirit to reveal any area where I wasn’t in timing with him.  To be honest in that particular season there were many things that the Lord had put on our hearts to fulfill that just didn’t seem to come together as the Lord had directed.  We had clear mandates and we also had specific words about exact time frames.  So when this self-examination into timing was suddenly presented I earnestly inquired of the Lord where we had missed him.  Where did we get out of step and mis-hear our directives? 
 
Many times in my communing with God I have learned to pray James 1:5. “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.”  I have found that the Lord loves to liberally give wisdom when I ask.  So I stepped back into my spirit and braced for the answer.  Only this time there was silence.  

I continued praying through the prayer focus and repented of anything I could possibly think of on my own.  The following morning I woke up to this phrase.  “You aren’t out of timing, they are.”  [more]

Day 7: What if There is No More Time?

Hi all—Jolene here. My husband gave me the privilege of writing today's message.  As I pondered what I would say I received a very interesting e-mail entitled, “What If There Is No More Time?”  I spent the day praying about the vision that I am about to share with you. Praying is actually a generic term I am using to actually describe a day mainly spent in sackcloth and ashes. 

I was extremely convicted that I have spent a great deal of time praying lately about temporal things. Through the years we have sought to become adept as “prayer-warriors.” But actually I have a form of intercession that I find myself engaged in a lot as a “prayer-worryer.” 


The Value of Time
I am sure that I am the only one who engages in this kind of prayer but I have come to see what an incredible waste of time it is. Most of the time the issues that I have been pray-worrying about are resolved in one day by the Lord, while others never really become an issue.  The word below could not have been more timely-it fits perfectly into our summer of recovery focus.  One of the most important focuses for us in this season is a recovery of time. Day 6: Refounding Fathers:
Recovering Apostolic Foundations

In this time, God is calling forth Refounding Fathers--and mothers--to recover the sacred legacies forged by our forefathers and build upon our apostolic foundations.  As we shared yesterday, in Washington DC a few months ago, the Lord spoke about a season of recovery He is releasing to the body of Christ.  Over the past two months the Lord has sent us from New England to metro DC to Washington State to announce this new season so that we may be positioned together for advancement. 

There was a moment in Elisha's day that was remarkably similar to the housing crunch now in our nation.  People who had dedicated themselves to building the Kingdom of God suddenly found themselves mired in debt, with no ability to repay.  And the building project they were working on was at a standstill, with no means of completion.

Second Kings 6 recounts the story.  There were too many interns in Elisha's school of the prophets. The building was too confining.  So, with Elisha's permission, they set out to build for the future. As they were chopping down trees, the axe they were using suddenly broke.  And the axe-head fell into the Jordan River.

Day 5: Prophesy Recovery!

A year and a half ago, Jolene shared privately with a few friends a dream she had of a shaking in the banking industry. It is important to note that she was still working as a mortgage broker at the time.

In the dream, Jolene saw a high-rise office/condo complex in Rockville MD with plate glass windows all around. At the bottom were many banks, with drive-in tellers and vaults. At the top of the skyscraper there were many large investment companies, insurance firms, and major restaurant chains that were owned by giant corporations. Essentially there were well-respected conglomerates in the skyscraper, with the foundation consisting of the banks.

Then the foundation of the skyscraper began to shake. As she watched, she was surprised to see the firms on the top level of this skyscraper had begun to fall as well. The ones that seemed most “rock-solid” were tumbling as the banks began to shake. [more]

Day 4: Prayer Keys for Northeast

Headlines are now bearing witness to the desperate need we all have to be praying for our government and economy in this hour.  God wants to bring recovery to all facets of our national life.  For this to occur, we as God’s people must align ourselves with God’s covenant through repentance and action.

God wants to release the Northeast into the river of His Spirit--His anointing of awakening. He wants to establish His covenantal legacy with our land in all facets of life and governance.  The battle of our nation is essentially whether God’s covenant with our land will be established to propel us forward in true liberty and a continuance of His blessing, or whether the enemy’s web of idolatry and compromise will overtake us. The latter will only lead to greater slavery and societal decline.

This is why I feel to call you—intercessors in the region and throughout the nation—for this extended time of prayer and fasting on behalf of Washington DC and the northeast. To a great extent, our government, our economy and the spiritual state of the union depend heavily on what transpires here during the next few months. [more]

Day 3: Union of Heaven and Earth

GENESIS 7:11—On the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, ON THE SAME DAY ALL THE FOUNTAINS OF THE GREAT DEEP BURST OPEN, AND THE FLOODGATES OF HEAVEN WERE OPENED.

Yesterday we shared a huge prayer request, signed and sealed from heaven’s throne. God is calling is Bride back into the chambers of intimacy. He is wanting to release us into the great treasure of UNION. And by this He is aligning heaven and earth for this mighty outpouring of His Spirit to fully flow.

Let me share a picture of this synergy between heaven and earth.  It is a synergy that brings breakthrough and resonance between Jesus and His redeemed. [more]

Day Two: Recovering Union

GENESIS 7:11—On the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, ON THE SAME DAY ALL THE FOUNTAINS OF THE GREAT DEEP BURST OPEN, AND THE FLOODGATES OF HEAVEN WERE OPENED.

We shared yesterday how the flood of Noah’s day was destructive, but the flood of God in this hour is redemptive. God’s river is about to flow in a way that darkness will be dislodged, and multitudes will be swept into the Kingdom of Christ’s love.


Aligning the Gates
But this move of glory is only available to us as we recover the gift of UNION. Lets look again at Genesis 7:11. Note that in the same day—at the same time—the gates of heaven and the gates of earth were both opened. This passage is literally a picture of the power unleashed by the UNION AND SYNERGY of heaven and earth. [more]


Day One: Breakthrough of Awakening

GENESIS 7:11 PORTRAYS A DAY when “the floodgates of heaven were opened, and all the fountains of the deep broke forth.”  The time period of this breakthrough wasn’t a year, or a season, or even a month.  It was a day.

And in that day God changed the face of the entire planet. We are longing for the same—for a breakthrough of awakening and revival that will literally change the face of the planet, with massive numbers of souls propelled into the Kingdom by the force of this Holy Ghost flood. That the knowledge of the glory of the Lord would flood the earth as the waters cover the seas. It can happen in a day!


Interceding for Release
Late last year, the Holy Spirit poke to us that “in 2008, God is giving apostolic authority in intercession to release the river of God and direct its path.” The Lord wants to release this river in partnership with us. Throughout these next 39 days, we are going to take God at His word. Lets intercede for a flood of His river from heaven, and for the uncapping of the wells of revival in the earth! [more]


Introducing the Project

WE HAVE RESET THE RECOVERY BUTTON!  At the Lord’s leading, the Summer of Recovery Prayer Focus has been revised to begin this Friday, July 11 and run through August 18. By this we are covering very key times in the spirit for Cornerstone, MIHOP, IAM, our region and nation.

We are excited that MIHOP and I-AIM, the intercessory arm of International Apostolic Ministries, are partnering together for this project. Regional intercessors can join us at MIHOP at 7:30 pm Tuesday, Friday and Sunday for prayer and awakening services.  Also from 6:00 am to 8:00 am on Tuesdays and Thursdays we will be praying with this focus.

Releasing the River in the Northeast
The prayer focus begins on 7:11. Genesis 7:11 shares that in the days of Noah, “the floodgates of heaven opened, and the fountains of the deep burst forth.” We are believing God during this time for a release of His river of awakening in the northeast. Our time culminates on 8:18, the day a prophetic friend called prophesied breakthrough as we “wait at the gate.”

Deuteronomy 8:18 shares that God gives power to obtain wealth to establish the covenant He swore to our forefathers. We are also believing God to move in this time to recover covenant wealth for His people. Wealth is more than financial provision; it is the complete blessing that Christ secured for us forever at Calvary.

Many of you participated in the "Purim to Passover" prayer focus.  You may recall we asked the Lord to release a river of awakening in our land to dislodge the onslaught of evil seeking to entangle us.  During this very time period, revival broke out in Lakeland, Florida. 
We are expecting the Lord to move with similar strength in the northeastern part of the United States.  A few years ago, the Lord showed us that He wanted to release a move of awakening in the south, and a move of awakening in the north.  As He joined north and south in awakening, it would have the effect of cracking the nut of demonic resistance over our Capitol region. By this the geographic "east gate" of our nation would experience the restoration of God's glory in our land.

How desperately we need this move of God's Spirit! Throughout the prayer focus I am asking each of you to intercede every day for God to move with awakening and revival specifically from New England down to Virginia.  Maine, Vermont  and New York are key states, and Washington, DC is a key city.  In both NY and VT the Spirit of God spoke to us specifically to decree the release of this river of awakening. Please ask the Lord to continue to move with power!

A Vision of Awakening
Let me end this by sharing a token of what we believe is ahead. The Lord moved powerfully during Dee Copley's "Ten Days of Glory," with the presence of God reaching new levels each day. Honor and teamwork paved the way. For Jolene and me, it was a landmark time--not since the Kettle Tour prayer journey have I personally been so deeply impacted by the corporate manifestation of the presence of God. 

During intercession one morning, I saw a vision of Jesus laughing with a young girl. She was wearing a gold dress with tossled hair and bare feet. Jesus grabbed her hand, and then gently guided her backwards, baptizing her in a river.  When she came up out of the water, she had matured into a fully grown woman--absolutely stunning beauty--in a bridal gown!  With a breathtaking smile, she glowed with awe at Jesus, and the sudden maturity He had brought to her life. 

A few days later, a young girl began to dance with banners, and a portal literally opened as she moved. As I watched, I suddenly realized this was the same girl I had seen in my vision!  Jolene and I shared what I had seen, and then asked her name.  It was Hannah!

Recovery of Identity
Hannah... the bride who sought the Lord until God's promise for her life was fully recovered!  The Lord is saying that He is bringing His people into the waters of the river of God so that a new maturity and new identity can be released. We are on the resurrection side of the Jordan! And from this place we are being matured from the confinement of the orphan spirit and released into our true identities as His cherished ones--as Sons of God and as the Bride of Christ. 

And in these waters there is a recovery of God's promises for each of us. Barrenness is being washed away.  WE ARE ENTERING INTO A NEW SEASON OF HARVEST!

Significantly, our friend Pat Hollaran had also seen this child dance. Pat's eyes grew wide--and I dare say a bit moist--as we shared what the Lord had done.  Because the night before, he had watched as a similar prophetic drama unfolded before his eyes WHILE HANNAH DANCED. A mighty sentinel angel stepped forward and began to dance with this child. Then Jesus Christ Himself came down from heaven and "cut in" on the dance! 

God is moving among our youth.  As in the first great awakening, this generation has the full attention of God.  AS WE TOGETHER MOVE WITH CHILD-LIKE FAITH, HE IS UNLOCKING PORTALS AND RELEASING THE RIVER OF HIS SPIRIT.

Covenant blessings to each of you as we begin this journey together!
